This is a one-time meeting on Saturday evening for folks ages 14+ who want to practice and improve their artistic skills. Painters will closely study how to draw, paint and illustrate plants.
$45 includes paints, brushes, palettes, paper and pencils.
We encourage you to bring your own mixed media book or pad to practice at home and bring to class. (I'd recommend Strathmore or Canson unless you already own a similar mixed-media sketchbook).
This is the first class of the Art Skills Series. Over the coming months, I plan to guide you through developing your art skills through mixed media art studies, playing with different materials, including graphite and coloured pencils, acrylic paint, watercolour and ink. Through this class series, you will begin to understand basic theory and practice line, shape, value, space, colour and texture, so you grow to love your art practice and feel confident and proud to display your work and show it to family and friends!
Skill Level: Suitable for beginners to experts who would like to try something new.

Please bring an apron or wear clothing you are okay with getting a little paint on. Unlike our paint parties, our focus is on learning, so please feel free to bring snacks or refreshments.
